Just saying hi
Built by one person who got tired of arguing about what to watch every Friday night. If you love it, hate it, or have an idea, I actually read every message.

The end of the what-to-watch argument
MatchWatch Movies & TV is a free app for deciding what to watch. You, your partner, your flatmates, or the whole household each swipe through movies and shows on your own. When you and someone else both say yes, or enough people in the group agree, it's a match. Then MatchWatch shows you where to stream it.
That's the whole idea.
How it works
Your deck is tuned to your region, the streaming services you already pay for, and your own taste. The more you swipe, the sharper it gets.
Swipe right for yes. Swipe left for no. Your picks stay private until there's a match, so nobody gets judged for the reality show they secretly love.
Match, then press play. No negotiating. No “fine, we'll watch yours”.
What makes it different
- Free, and staying free. No swipe limits. No subscription. No paywall in the way.
- Built for couples and groups. Use it with your partner, your flatmates, your family, or a group of friends. MatchWatch supports up to six people, and the match rules scale with the room.
- Your region, your services. MatchWatch uses current streaming availability data for New Zealand, Australia, the United Kingdom, and the United States. In NZ, you see services like Neon and TVNZ+, not a list built for somewhere else.
- Works on anything. It runs in any browser and opens instantly from a shared link. Add it to your home screen and it behaves like an app.
- No weird data games. No ads. No third-party ad tracking. Just a watch picker that does what it says.
Who built it
MatchWatch is built by Foundry Studio, a solo development studio run by Chris Bennett in Christchurch, New Zealand.
It started the way these things usually do: his household spent longer arguing about what to watch than actually watching anything. So he built the thing that stops the argument.
