Deleting an account should be clear. We verify the request by email, process it manually, and tell you when it is finished.

Enter the email address used for your MatchWatch account. If an account exists, we will email a single-use confirmation link. The response on this page is deliberately the same whether or not an account exists.
The link expires after 24 hours. Nothing enters the manual deletion queue until the link is confirmed.

MatchWatch does not hold payment-card information because MatchWatch has no paid tier and does not charge subscription fees.

The page gives a neutral response and does not confirm whether an account exists.
The email link is single-use and expires after 24 hours. If you did not make the request, ignore the email.
This happens only after confirmation. We may contact you if another reasonable identity check is needed.
We aim to finish within 30 calendar days and will meet any shorter period required by applicable law.
The request record is then stripped of your email address and account identifier.
When a verified request is processed, MatchWatch:
You will no longer be able to sign in with the deleted account. Creating a new account later does not restore the old profile, groups or saved titles.
Some viewing and group records may remain after direct identifiers are removed. This helps preserve shared group history and service integrity without keeping the deleted profile active. We do not use anonymised viewing records to contact you or rebuild the deleted account.

Retained information is limited to its remaining purpose and kept only as long as that purpose requires.
Privacy rights differ by location. MatchWatch uses one verified request flow for people in New Zealand, Australia, the United Kingdom, the European Union and the United States.
You can ask to access or correct personal information. Correction can include deletion in appropriate circumstances, while information may be retained where it is still lawfully required. MatchWatch will respond within the period required by the Privacy Act 2020.

You may have a right to erasure, restriction, objection, access, correction and data portability. Erasure is not absolute, including where information is needed for a legal obligation or legal claim.
Rights vary by state. Where a state privacy law applies, you may have rights to request access, correction or deletion and to appeal certain decisions. MatchWatch may need to verify the request before acting on it.
If a right does not technically require deletion in your location, MatchWatch can still honour a verified voluntary deletion request unless a lawful reason requires limited retention.
Check spam or junk folders first. If the confirmation link has expired, submit the form again. A new request will not reveal whether the email address has an account.
