Pick the scale before the title
The Pitt is the cleanest one-episode test. A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms is the easiest fantasy welcome. Succession and True Detective are longer commitments with very different damage, while The Last of Us combines intimate drama with a much larger world. Chernobyl is the finite, serious choice.
