MatchWatch helps your partner, flatmates or family agree on a film or TV show. Everyone swipes privately. When enough people in the group like the same title, it appears as a match, ready for the sofa rather than another hour of browsing.

Yes. Create an account or sign in before you create or join a group. You can continue with Apple, Google, or an email address and password. There is no credit card step.

Use the invite link from their email or enter the eight-character invite code during setup. You still create or sign in to your account first. A group can have up to six people, so it works for couples, flatmates and small family groups.

Yes. Other people do not get a running list of what you liked or rejected. MatchWatch reveals the shared result when the group reaches a match. Your questionable comfort rewatch can stay between you and your watchlist.

Yes. Both are in the deck. Some films deserve a trip to the cinema. MatchWatch is for the nights when everyone is staying in and still cannot agree what to put on.

The current UK list is Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video, Apple TV, NOW, BBC iPlayer, ITVX, Paramount+ and Channel 4. Choose the ones you use and MatchWatch builds that service mix into your deck.

Yes. You must be covered by a UK TV Licence to watch or download BBC iPlayer, live or on demand. TV Licensing lists an exception for S4C programmes watched on demand. BBC iPlayer also requires a BBC account.

Yes. There is no subscription, paid tier or swipe limit. The streaming services themselves keep their own subscriptions and access rules.

Yes. Select United Kingdom whether you are watching in England, Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland. The same UK service setup applies, and you can add another supported region in your profile if your household needs one.

Yes. Open Mood and choose options such as Trending, Date Night, Funny, Scary, Family, Documentary or TV. The deck refreshes around that choice, and you can switch or clear it whenever the room changes its mind.

Yes. Titles you like are kept in your watchlist, and you can also add a title from search. The Watchlist separates your swipes, group matches and passed titles so a good solo pick does not vanish.

Open the Watchlist, choose your own swipes or the group's matches, then tap Pick for me. MatchWatch chooses from the titles in that view. It is for the point where you have already agreed on several good options and somehow created a new argument.
